Salute to the Military - Quarterly Membership Meeting

We will be saluting the military on Friday, May 23 at our quarterly membership meeting luncheon at Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona. If you are an active serviceman or woman, or a veteran, please allow us to honor you, by attending this luncheon as our guest (you must wear either a hat or pin or full uniform representing your military branch you served AND RSVP to the Chamber at (951) 737-3350 for a reservation).

Special guest speakers will include Herbert C. Gore, Robert L. (Bgore) Gore, and James H. Gore. Herbert served in 53 combat missions with the Army Air Corp. (which later became the US Air Force) in WWII, 27 combat missions in Korea, and went through TET offensive of 67-68 in DaNang, Vietnam. He received a Bronze Star with “V” device of valor in Vietnam. His sons, Robert and James, both served in the US Army 173^rd Airborne Brigade BCO-2-503^rd. Robert was an infantry man and a squad leader during the Vietnam War, who earned a Bronze Star with “V” device of valor. James was a combat medic, who was awarded a Purple Heart. All 3 of them volunteered to go to Vietnam, and we are honored to have them share their story on May 23. Awards of Excellence will be presented to Veterans Honoring Veterans and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division. The Chairman's Award will be presented to Captain Eric Ver Hage.
