2012 Komen Inland Empire Race for the Cure

Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Inland Empire Affiliate will host the 14^th Annual Race for the Cure on Sunday, October 21, 2012.  Each year the Komen Inland Empire Race for the Cure and other Affiliate events raise significant funds and increase awareness for breast cancer, celebrating survivorship and honoring those who have lost their battle with the disease.  With pledges from these events and donations throughout the year, strides are being made to continue the quest for a cure. Each year 75% of our net proceeds remain in the Inland Empire to support breast health education and outreach programs, as well as diagnostic and treatment support services in the local community.  The remaining 25% is directed to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award Research Grant Program to fun breast cancer research on a nation and international level.  The Inland Empire Affiliate has awarded community grants totaling nearly $5.5 million dollars to local non-profits organization since 1999.
